It’s no secret that fall and winter are my favorite seasons. I love the smell of campfires, the crisp morning air, the excuse to stay inside with hot chocolate and watch a good movie, and let’s be honest, cuddle with Nilla. Though, I don’t really need an excuse to do that and cuddling with her is definitely not season dependent. Why is it that dogs (or pets in general) bring so much joy to people’s lives? I often remind myself that she’s never said one word to me but means so much to me. I remind myself that to be a very best friend can mean just listening. Not offering suggestions or opinions but just simply listening.
Anyway, back to the winter weather that is here now – this is the time when Christmas has past and the one great snow we get a year is melted away. It’s the “tweener” stage between winter and spring. And any “tweener” stage is always just awkward. Whether it’s in-between hair that’s not short but not long or the 6th grade – the “tweener” days can be hard.
So even though I am ready for Spring to go ahead and Spring, I’m also forcing myself to relish my leather jacket, snow boots, and pretty scarves, because soon I’ll be trading them in for a broom and cleaning supplies for Spring cleaning. Hope you have a great day and thank you so much for reading!
