Hope everyone had a great weekend. Here are some pics from mine…
^^^^^^^ Our windows are too short to hang our curtains. So rather than store the curtains under the bed I decided to hang them above it and make canopy bed. I’ve always wanted one of these so when I saw a tutorial online I decided to give it a shot.
we went to Fridays on the Front porch with some friends to kick off the weekend. here’s a selfie of what I wore to that event and the crazy pink/black/and white bathroom. Also, I met 3 girls here that are in their 4th year of med-school but took a year off last year to get their masters. And apparently around here, that’s a pretty normal thing. I’ve been blown away by how edu-ma-cated the people around here are.
Saturday we (Lee Taylor-Penn, her friend Anna from Virginia, and Kim, one of David’s fellow residents, had a nail-painting party with rose… it’s the new white wine. After that Kim came over and she, David and I, walked across the street to the taco truck and brought it back for dinner. That taco truck being right across the street is so good and convenient.
we tried brunch at a new restaurant – four eleven west. It’s the restaurant with a really cute store front and this indoor greenhouse/ courtyard area was perfect for a Sunday Brunch with Josh (the other resident from Mississippi) and his wife Jennifer.
Lady Nilla testing out the canopy bed
we headed to Tobacco Road to watch the World Cup finals. David was excited the finals fell on his off day.
those mile high nachos made another appearance and have inspired me to attempt to make this for dinner tonight. Hope you had a great weekend and thanks for reading! I’m off to figure out how to connect the two longer rods of the canopy bed to the end shorter rod! We’ll see how that turns out and let me know if you have any suggestions!
