stripes are fun in all forms but I particularly love them in this canvas style summer dress. I am obsessed with the way the sleeves come almost to my elbows and hide my arms. My arms are not my favorite part of my body. If you’ve been reading this blog for a while you know when it comes to clothes I’m big on material. There’s nothing worse than washing a cotton shirt one time and it going from “favorite new top” to “covered in little balls” because of the fabric. This canvas dress is structured and I also think it’s very flattering the way the hem dips a bit in the middle.
Speaking of fabric I broke down and bought this top
because I love the fabric so much. It’s literally the perfect summer tank and I wish I had it in every color. I think it’s the micro thin straps and perfect “V” that get me every time and keep me reaching for it in my closet.
David has started working nights which feels really weird since first year interns don’t have to work nights. With him being 2 weeks into year 2 this is our first experience with nights. I have to say it kind of stinks. By the time I get home, he is gone, and by the time he gets home in the morning, I’m gone. I’ve been trying to use my time alone wisely by catching up on chick-flicks I’ve never seen – like Jerry Mcguire (this song
has been on repeat) and the Bachelorette of course! Oh Kaitlyn… I hope you find love.
Don’t forget about the Nordstrom anniversary sale! I have my eyes set on this vest
. Thanks for reading 🙂
