Easter was a little hard this year. The night before Easter Sunday, I started thinking about how all of my family would be at the farm in Mississippi on Easter, and David would have to work on Easter, and my nieces and nephew’s would be hiding Easter eggs in the front yard, and my sister-in-law would have this amazing lunch, and my brother-in-law would give a great Easter sermon and I really wished I could have been there for any and all of it.
But even though I went to the service solo, it was so uplifting and a great reminder that nothing can separate us from the love of Jesus, which is the only thing that can truly fulfill us.
Afterwards I met up with Amy and we went to one of her friend’s houses where there was corn hole, mac and cheese, cupcakes, mimosas, and roughly 7 cute dogs belonging to the various guests in attendance. We spent the afternoon on the patio and it was so much fun.
The combo of patios and Abita strawberry beer is basically the hallmark of spring in my book. This spring it’s been cold in the mornings and night so I’ve been wearing this snuggie sweater often since it’s perfect for the in-between temps.
Hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend and a great start to your week. Thanks so much for reading.
