Two weeks ago I took a trip to Seattle with my family for my dad’s birthday! It was such an amazing trip! My cousin, Sara is in Seattle while her husband finishes up his Urology fellowship. It’s so fun to go to cities where you know someone. Not only is it so fun to see someone you’ve missed, but they also know the city and can show you around! Sara was the hostess with the mostess and showed us the best of Seattle:
Some amazing restaurants that I didn’t snap pics of were:
Joule had such unique bites and was seriously amazing. I’m still dreaming about the rice cakes I had there. If you are a foodie, DEFINITELY try this place out.
We got takeout pizza from Ballard Pizza company to watch the Bachelorette. The pizza did not disappoint. Now the bachelorette on the other hand.. I still wish she would have ended up with PETER! haha
We had coffee almost every morning from Stone Way Cafe and also lunch one day. It was delicious and simple!
One of the nicest meals of the trip was Rays Boathouse – it was classically elegant with white table clothes and windows lining the entire room. We had a great view of the sunset and the food was amazing.
The 5 spot cafe was a fun restaurant with chandeliers and great cocktails – yes please!
Seattle definitely has my heart. I can’t believe I waited so long to visit this magical and inspiring city! If you have any Seattle recommendations please let me know and, as always, thank you so much for reading!
One of the cutest places we went was Westward – I loved sipping some sav blanc under these cute and colorful striped umbrellas. It’s right by the water and also has rows of adirondack chairs.Yes please!
Pike place market: y’all, the flowers here were honestly unreal. Peony heaven. Definitely one of the best farmers market’s in the U.S. and also home to the original starbucks, the iconic fish throwing (hello real world 2002 opening scene)
the GUM WALL! It really was gross but also kind of amazing. I mean, WHO started that!?
The Ferris wheel – this was SO FUN. They serve wine and you go around 3 times over the puget sound. Such an amazing view and it’s right by Pike Place market.
Matt’s in the Market was the perfect place to escape the busyness of Pike’s place market while still having an incredible second story view of the iconic sign and people below. This would be a great place for a snack + one drink. We had the deviled eggs which were AMAZING.
suki sushi had phenomenal sushi and is in a cute part of town. There’s also ice cream right across the street at D’Ambrosio Gelato if you have a sweet tooth after dinner.
Gas works park was a stunning view of the Seattle skyline. It’s right on the water and a big green hill for laying in the grass! We actually missed the cast of Grays Anatomy being there by just a few minutes. Heck speck.. Kerry Park was another amazing overlook and it’s right next to some beautiful neighborhoods that we drove through – Queen Anne, Ballard, and Fremont. All full of gorgeous homes. Another pretty park / walking trail is Green Lake!
The pink door was probably my favorite restaurant if I had to choose. Amazing food, amazing ambiance, and such a cool entrance. It just looks like an alley with a pink door but then inside it’s high ceilings and cool decor.
Another thing that’s right by the ferris wheel is sailing! This was my favorite thing we did, so much so I did an entire post on it here. You can take your own food and drinks on and just enjoy the hour and a half ride. They have them in the afternoons and at sunset. Definitely take a sweater!
Seattle, I love you!
