When David and I found that he matched for residency at UNC, I immediately googled “Chapel Hill.” Although I got to accompany him to his Charlottesville, VA interview and his Charleston interview, I was working during his one for UNC. Searching google (really, where would we be without it?), I saw the pretty shade of tar heel powder blue and fell in love with the color. It’s such a pretty shade of bright light blue and I’ve been adding the color to my wardrobe ever since that match day. Plus I LOVE their tagline of “kick up your heels.”
One of my favorite things about having a blog, is being able to discover new brands. I went shopping at Forever 21 yesterday, and while I did find the perfect jean jacket, it made me realize how many other brands I’ve been exposed to since starting this website in law school. J. McLaughlin definitely falls into that category. They make my all time favorite sweater, which I’m counting down the days until I can wear – come on fall! And they make my all time favorite dress, which is now on sale. You may have seen on snapchat (LC_Steele) how I got caught in the rain after church in that dress and it didn’t show one single drop of rain. I’ve worn both of these powder blue dresses to all things UNC related 🙂 Baseball games with flats or to the big welcome festivities for all of the new residents coming in.
This dress reminds me of the dress I wore the day David matched at UNC and it still makes me giddy to think of that day. I can’t believe we’ve been here for two years and get to be here for at least one more! Thank you so much for following our journey and reading this blog, it means so much 🙂
