Hey there, spring. These warmer temps are giving me a new lease on life. I appreciate spring so much in North Carolina. When everything ices over and transportation is a challenge with snow and other cold weather elements, it makes me fully appreciate being able to jump in the car with the windows down or just take Nilla for a walk come springtime. The blooms around Chapel Hill are really lovely too. I have to fight the urge to walk around with scissors and clip some flowers for myself.
This anthropologie pop of pink put a little spring in my step. It’s a refreshing dose of cheerful pink after all the cold and rainy days we had in February. I wore this on Easter morning and think it would be a great dress for spring and summer baby showers, wedding showers, church and weddings. I usually don’t wear a flared dress, but sometimes a girl needs to feel pretty in pink, and this dress does just that.
This weekend was so much fun! We were in Slidell Louisiana for my Aunt Susu’s wedding. It was such a beautiful wedding and I loved getting to see everybody in our family. We all stayed in one house which really reminded me of our beach vacations growing up. I especially love getting to see my nephew, Wilson. He is such a precious baby and was my dance partner at the wedding since David was working this weekend. It was also fun meeting so many of my parents childhood friends… stories about your parents when they were teenagers is more entertaining than any oscar nominated film.
Rivers (my best childhood friend) and I are in Nola for a couple of days – in fact I’m writing this post from a VERY HIPSTER coffee shop on Dauphine street. It’s filled with colorful people – like literally everyone in here has a tattoo that is colorful. I’ve never felt more like a basic white girl than I do right now. I’ll show you on snap (LC_Steele) Anyway.. I love New Orleans and hope to do a post about my favorite places in the city…as well as pics from the wedding.
Cheers to love! Hope you enjoyed your weekend and have a great start to your week! Thank you so much for reading 🙂
