New York Fashion Week was last week and it was so much fun! I absolutely love hanging with friends in the city! The most fun part of going to NYFW is always being able to see these sweet friends who live all over the country.
The first night we stayed at Yotel – a very modern hotel that’s run by all computers! We checked in at a kiosk and even a robot stored your luggage. Chargers for your phone were sold at a vending machine by the elevator and it had the prettiest balcony overlooking the city. (you can see it in my NYFW highlight on Instastories)
The rest of the trip we stayed at the Roxy hotel in Tribeca which was a GREAT location and had a very homey feel. It felt very 70’s ish with brown and mustard yellow decor, had great room service, and was RIGHT next to a Starbucks haha so THAT was convenient. It was also right next to a great Mexican Restaurant, Anejo Tribeca.
We got to stop at Bollare showroom before going to the Shopbop party and then on to the OK Magazine party. We also got to the Tadashi Shoji show and the Christian Siriano show which was stunning (I have a lot of it in the NYFW highlight on Instastories). It was cool to see his show especially because I watched his season of project runway when I was in law school – that show and gossip girl really got me through. haha. We also got to attend his after party all thanks to Capri Blue – aka the best candle company in the world. They were the official home fragrance partner for NYFW 2018 and I was so excited and proud since they are made in my hometown of Starkville, MS!
We also got to attend the Vogue party and I got to meet Blair Eadie! It was SO FUN getting to FINALLY meet her since I’ve followed her since 2012! I was definitely too nervous to talk and totally fan girled .. it’s ok, it happens, right?
The week was full of room service, walking in heels, meeting new people, and plenty of laughs with old friends. I feel so thankful that I got to attend and be there!
Thanks so much for reading! I’m filling my cup up with Pumpkin coffee for this Monday 🙂
