A couple of weekends ago Rivers (my BFF), Kevin (her husband) and David and I all went to NOLA! New Orleans is always a good time. I have so many memories there starting with the SEC tournament in high school, where my family made posters to show our support for the MSU basketball team… Really I was really just searching for Ashley Judd the whole time because apparently she’s a big Kentucky fan. (Sadly, I didn’t see her) My love affair with New Orleans began back then and continued through formals and date-parties in college,
birthday trips with David, and has extended to trips with good friends. Here are some pics from our most recent visit.
we brunched on Saturday at the Ruby Slipper (an homage to the saying “there’s no place like home,” since they rebuilt the restaurant after Katrina)

Rose tasting at Bacchanal – definitely one of my new favorite places since they specialize in wine, cheese, and patios.

we ate at Port of Call on our last night. Good times all around. It was probably one of my favorite things we did the whole trip.

Riding the train! So many people suggested this so we finally did it. If only airplanes had this much room. It really was so fun. You can pack your own food or drinks and take it on! I loved the observation car, and being able to sleep instead of drive. Come on ride the train, and ride it whooo whooo (yes that song was stuck in my head the whole time… But I didn’t mind).

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency which coincidentally was within walking distance of the train drop off 🙂 That really worked out well.

Good times were had by all and I’m already to do another Framily Vacay in NOLA |
