I had never made my own dough of any kind, but I decided to give it a whirl. People weren’t kidding when they said it was easy. I think actual bread is another story – my mom is very good at it and maybe one day I’ll get there, but for now I’ll count pizza dough as a win. I used this recipe for dinner last night. The best part? The recipe makes enough dough for two pizzas so now I have homemade pizza dough ready and waiting for next time.
I was ecstatic I didn’t drop the dough – this really was a great way to spread it out. I did more throwing and spinning than making use of the rolling pin… it was much more fun that way.
my assistant chef, Nilla .. she is so over it, but she knows she is my best helper in the kitchen
cottage C 🙂
aaaaannnnd forgetting I didn’t have pizza sauce half way through. Hopefully I’ll always live within 1/2 a mile to a grocery store so I can just use it as my pantry. We are further from our grocery than we were in Jackson, but still pretty close.
I used all farmers market toppings. Fresh ingredients make all the difference, which is good because my cooking skills are still pretty poor so fresh ingredients help to make up for any of my mistakes
Dinner in the courtyard with china. Did you register for china? Different women told me different things when registering. I got everything from “don’t register for it, you’ll never use it” to “life’s too short not to use china.” I opted to adopt the mindset of the latter and got a white plate with simple gold detail so that it would never go out of style and I could pair it with my annie-glass. Did you register for china? Do you still like it? And is there a particular time you use it? Thanks for reading and have a great day!
