Last night David and I had our “Sunday night Mexican” date night. I threw on these heels for the pictures and then swapped to black sandals for the actual restaurant. I just wanted to show you how I would wear this lace top for a fancier date night. This top is from Zara and I love the detailing. The scalloped lace collar actually reminds me a bit of my wedding dress since it was all lace with scalloped edges as well.
Anyway, there is (I think) an exact replica of this shirt on SheInside in black, green and maroon. I just ordered the green 🙂 Whenever I post something from SheInside or Chicwish I receive questions about the quality and sizing. I wanted to pass along my tips for shopping with them.
- Look at the pictures of other people wearing it. Below the item there will be pictures of other shoppers who have bought the item. These are always more realistic pictures taken on iphones rather than a model and a professional photographer. They help me see what it will REALLY look like.
- Know that it’s not going to be a timeless item you’ll have forever. Yes, this stuff is pretty cheap. I operate with the assumption that whatever I buy will last one season. Although I do have a fur vest that has lasted for 4 years.
- Make sure to look at the measurements. I try to measure myself before placing an order to ensure I won’t have to go through the return process if it doesn’t fit.
And that’s it! These black stretch pants from Tuckernuck are amazing because they function like leggings but actually have a button and zipper so you can wear shorter shirts, not just tunics with them. Hope you had a wonderful weekend and thank you so much for reading!
