New York Fashion week was so fun! I loved getting to spend time in one of my favorite cities with some of my favorite girls. I met Emily (Champagne and Chanel) and Dede (Dress up Buttercup) on our Mexico blogger trip a few months back. They are both so sweet and FUN! They are blogger besties who live in Houston. They both didn’t have any damage with the hurricane but have been helping their communities so much. I love following their Instastories too. I met Dani this trip and think she is the sweetest and funniest blogger I’ve met. And she has her own YouTube channel! Say what!? Amazing. She was so refreshing to be around and together I can truly say I had a great week because of these ladies. Our room was 100% a clothes disaster! But we shared all the clothes, all the coffee, and all the laughs.
It’s so nice to meet girls who truly build each other up. I feel like in the “blogging world” things can get competitive pretty fast. I have never viewed blogging as competitive. Ever. I hate competing in anything. I used to call my track coach and pretend like I was sick so I wouldn’t have to go to the track meet and compete. Law school was hugely competitive just because you are literally graded by how well you do compared to your peers. There’s only one test at the end of the year in each class, and only a certain percentage can get an A, and a certain percentage have to get a B, C. and D…. soooooo I literally had to compete with my classmates for the few A’s. Yuck! With that being said I’ve always viewed blogging as fun. Because it IS! It’s so fun sharing parts of my life and having this little corner of the Internet as a journal / scrapbook of the last few years. Because who has time to actually print pictures and put together a scrapbook anymore!? haha
When it comes to competing in anything, I feel like I’ll never be the best, but I’ll never be the worst and I kind of love that. It really frees up space to just relax and HAVE FUN. Because whoever is having the most FUN is the REAL winner, right!? haha I’m so glad I was able to share NYFW 2017 with these fun and lovely ladies! Happy hump day and thank you so much for reading!
