one of my all time favorite photographs is of my sister and me from December of 1990. I was 4 years old, she was 6, and it had just snowed in Starkville, Mississippi. Since it doesn’t happen often, snow in Mississippi is a rare and celebrated occasion. Snow is one of those things you see in movies and hear about, but aren’t guaranteed in real life.
It had just snowed in Mississippi and my sister and I put on our matching white fur coats with hoods to bundle up before we went outside. I don’t know if it was the first snow I had ever seen, but it’s definitely the first one I remember. I think that’s the moment I fell in love with fur. It just feels good. I am obsessed with my fur throw, love my fur key chain, and adore this fur collar that I wore for our first North Carolina snow! Whether your style is “preppy, indie, timeless, edgy, or hippie…” I don’t think one single person can deny that fur (faux fur OF COURSE) just FEELS good. I’ve already worn this fur vest multiple times and the temps are just starting to allow for it. I love how soft this one is and that it’s a light neutral. I’ll be able to throw it over a dress with tights and booties or over a thin sweater with jeans. Welcome, fall!
Did you have snow growing up? Did you get to wake up to a white Christmas? Thank you so much for reading and happy hump day:)
