Really I should have titled this post “Fringe benefits.” In this case, fringe benefits means that I could wear this shirt once, spill spaghetti all over it, throw it away, and still feel like I came out on top ….because it’s less than $20. I love the subtle stripes, unexpected red fringe, and general non-clingy-ness of this top. Because ain’t nobody got time for clingy! Pass the pizza. David and I had a work night at the dining room table tonight complete with pizza and wine. We normally don’t sit at our dining room table, opting for the coffee table instead, but it was oddly romantic – a “sit on the same side of the booth” moment, if you will . Even though I hate get annoyed with the couple who does that in public.
This was my birthday attire in NYC a couple weeks ago. We stayed right across from the Met Opra House which was simply stunning (and has an equally stunning geotag on snapchat). I have a great memory of my mom, sis and I attending an opera here a few year ago. It was beautiful, even though I didn’t quite understand what was going on the whole time. Watching the fountain in front of the opera house was such a special way to end my birthday. I put on Clare de Lune, which I confess I stole from Oceans 11, and took a moment to breathe in the New York City night air, give thanks, and count my lucky stars for this beautiful life.
