the softest pajamas EVER from Lindsey Brown’s wedding
being interviewed for Walter Magazine at a place with the prettiest desserts
hydrangeas in Chapel Hill in full bloom and being reunited with Nilla Billa
Oh it feels good to be home. Y’all – I am kind of starting to freak out about this whole interview/ match thing again. I mean, I know it will be fine and great and whatever, but it is really weird to not know where we are going to spend the next 3 years. I tell David that I can go anywhere because everywhere has Internet and Nilla which are really the only things I NEED. haha He’ll interview this fall and then we will know I think in December or January.
My cousin Leah is moving to Greenville, SC for a year for her husband’s residency and my other cousin, Sara, is moving to Seattle in a month for her husband’s residency and I am definitely going to be visiting both of them!
Interviewing with Mimi for Walter Magazine yesterday was so much fun and it’s really gotten me thinking. One of her questions was: “how do you know what to share and what to keep private as a blogger” – woaaaaa what a good question. Isn’t it funny what people share (pictures of sonograms / i.e. the inside of their stomachs) and DON’T share (i.e. “everything is perfect perfect perfect”) It really made me remember this post and the beginning of this blog. Not to get TOO deep but I really do feel like blogging has given me a thicker skin in some ways and made me more willing to share things. Because…. why not? Everyone has their issues, their struggles, etc… I kind of feel like “keeping up with the Joneses ” and acting like you have it all together is sooooooo 1990. haha Anyway, all that to say, if you ever want to know ANYTHING feel free to email me (Lauren@LC-Steele.com), snap me (LC_Steele) or text me at 555-555-5555. Yup. I just posted my phone number on the Internet. I’m wild. My friend Alissa from law school called me this morning and scared the crap out of me about sharing too much info on the Internet. She’s a divorce attorney in Dallas and told me it’s not all butterflies and rainbows. haha. So just email me.
Speaking of 1990, I’m watching Independence Day right now from the 90’s!! David and I are going to watch the sequel today to set the scene for July 4th weekend which is NEXT weekend 🙂
Hope you have so much fun this weekend and thank you for reading!
