Chapel Hill in full bloom
a robin’s egg wreath for Easter
afternoon light
a pretty pastel Henri Bendel wallet to bring spring cleaning to my purse (c/o)
afternoon walks with Nilla in the “windows down” kind of weather
this scene in our neighborhood that reminded me of an Easter egg
the weekly David and Nilla Cuddle pic – minus David since he’s been working so much
Nilla got to attend her first baseball game last night! UNC had a “dog’s in the park night” and people got to bring their pups! Doesn’t she look like Bone Thugs n Harmony with that bandana and that chain? haha #presh. If Nilla could attend every sporting event I would probably go to way more. We’ve loved having Banks (David’s friend since Kindergarten) stay with us for a while because since he works in athletics, he is UNC athletics VIP and can hook a sista up! I wouldn’t have even known about this event if he hadn’t a) told me in the first place b) reminded me and c) offered to go with me.
How is it already Easter?! Weren’t we JUST popping champagne and making New Years resolutions? Easter is really one of my favorite holidays. The endless chocolate candy, preferably peanut butter m&m’s, the easter egg hunts, dying easter eggs, being with family, pastels everywhere! I remember being a kid and running downstairs to see what the Easter Bunny had brought us. We each had our own huge egg with goodies stuffed inside. I should bring that tradition back for me and David haha.
In all seriousness I love the true meaning of Easter and celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It’s an amazing thing that we have a new and eternal life through him.
1 Peter 1:3-4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you.
Happy Easter, Friends!
