the arrival of my nephew, Thomas Wilson Sneed
seeing my sister so happy
What a week! Definitely one of the best. It’s been so fun being here in Birmingham for the arrival of little baby Thomas Wilson Sneed. He was 7 lbs 14 oz. and had a perfect arrival at 8:35 yesterday morning. I’ve never seen my sister so happy and I’m just so excited for their family of three. I’m holding down the fort at their house right now and just took an amazingly hot bath and am about to put her adirondack chairs on her back porch to good use. Do you remember when you became an aunt or uncle? We’ve been playing around with names for the baby to call each of us. My mom said her tennis friend’s advice was to “make sure the baby can pronounce it” because her grandchildren call her by her nickname “Kitty” but since they can’t pronounce the name is comes out “titty” hahaha.
I’m planning to stay here until Saturday then make the long drive back to Chapel Hill. With fall views like the ones that are on display currently though, it will be a nice drive indeed. Have a wonderful weekend and thank you SO MUCH for reading this blog!

He is just the cutest! What a perfect little boy.
