framing this Wyatt Waters watercolor painting in our bedroom
I love this Wyatt Waters painting for so many reasons. I picked it out in his store in Mississippi when I went to Clinton with my grandmother, Ama, and my mom a few months ago. It was such a pretty day and when we went to his shop he was actually there so we got to visit with him for a while. Then we walked next door to grab lunch. I picked this painting because it’s in Oxford where David and I got married, where he spent his undergrad days, and where I spent 3 years for law school. I love watercolor and feel like this is my first real piece of meaningful art.
And how about that lavender? I don’t know why I haven’t done that before because it’s DRIED so you don’t have to put water in it… genius. I love the smell of lavender. Dried lavender is what we threw as we left on our wedding and I wish I had another huge bowl of it.
David is off tomorrow and I’m determined for us to go to a pumpkin patch 🙂 We are going to a wedding in Raleigh tomorrow night and then next Wednesday I’m heading down to Birmingham for the arrival of my sister’s first baby! This is the first grandchild on our side so it’s a big occasion of course 🙂 I can’t wait to meet him.
Have a wonderful weekend and thank you so much for reading!!
