a Sunday drive in this picturesque setting
David whipping up some mini chocolate chip pancakes using sprite on saturday morning
seeing the Duke campus (and being let on the campus – I felt like someone was going to come up to me and say: “wait, what was your SAT score? oh, you didn’t even take it? Yeah we’re going to have to escort you off the premises…”) haha This campus is seriously so beautiful and intimidating!
viewing the cathedral even though we couldn’t go in (wedding season siiiighhh) – we’ll have to go back during the week. They say they have weddings pretty much every Saturday and with an interior like this, I can see why.
a walk through the Duke gardens
and seeing the terrace fish pool there
a pretty pink sunset view from a second story table on date night
puppy play time with Nilla
Hope you had a great week and Happy Friday! The thing I am most excited about this weekend is an ebay auction! I am finally taking the leap and getting a second lens for my camera. I love my 50mm 1.4 but it’s always SO close up. I want to be able to zoom out and “get the picture.” Cross your fingers that I win! When it comes to camera equipment I am a huge proponent of buying used vs. new. Most photographers take excellent care of their equipment and when it’s time to move up they have great lenses that work just as well as the day they bought them. Are any of y’all into photography? And if so what is your favorite lens? I’ve spent so much time reading reviews on lenses the past week I am interested if you have a favorite lens. I’ve been meaning to do a Carrboro Cottage tour on the blog but want to get a wide angle lens because, since our place is so small, I hold the camera up and you can just see the wall. haha. Also, the 50 mm lens needed to go to the doctor so I am camera-less for a week 🙁 Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
