this gigantic field of purple and orange zinnias spotted on the side of the highway during our drive to Richmond, Virginia
Nilla accompanying us to Virginia and staying in her very first hotel – she digs it.
a Sunday stroll down Monument Avenue with coffee in hand and archways of low hanging yellow leaves above
David being off every single weekend this month 🙂 which didn’t change his dislike for his picture being taken..
eating lunch with Kim and seeing these leaves that looked like flower petals
finally replacing our old kitchen table with this one which has a pole in the middle so our feet don’t hit the legs! And picking up these white slip covered chairs during my first trip to Ikea – that store blew my mind!
adding navy blue pillows from Etsy to our breakfast booth
bringing out all my scarves – the oversize blanket/poncho scarf seems to be everywhere now, making it basically ok to wear blankets in public. I support that whole-heartedly
driving through a neighborhood and checking out all the halloween/ fall decorations
Even though this house didn’t decorate, I loved the doors, topiary, and color scheme
David’s parents coming to visit and us taking a quick trip to the Duke Gardens
Nilla becoming ‘super dog’ at dinner after David tucked a paper towel in her collar
using one of David’s off weekends to visit Charleston – my friend Mollie’s husband (also named David) is on an away rotation in Greenville, South Carolina so she let us stay at her beautiful downtown apartment (here & here)
eating our way through the city at Husk, Eli’s Table, and the Blind Tiger
the weekly David and Nilla cuddle pic (ok they aren’t cuddling but it’s close enough in cuteness)
these colorful umbrellas across the entire front steps .. just set up to celebrate life
indulging in some Sunday night mexican at South of the Border on the way home from South Carolina
