This week was a good one. I’m probably the Chapel Hill resident that spent the most time outside these last few days. Whether it was a walk with Nilla, playing in the snow, or a trip to Franklin street, I’ve been loving this weather. I mean clearly – “snowflakes” is in the title of this blog. haha
Wednesday’s snow was mesmerizing. I was in the grocery store checking out when I looked outside to see HUGE snowflakes floating down. There was a guy behind me dressed in workboots and carhartts who was getting doritos and 7up (I guess what I’m saying is I don’t think he likes chick-flicks and long bubble baths). Anyway he looked outside and said, “now that right there is beautiful.”
David was off early that day too which was pretty magical in and of itself. At the ripe old age of 28 I feel like I’ve seen a lot at this point in my life. But I had never seen anything like those oversized snowflakes floating down so softly. It made me stop and appreciate where we are living. I thanked David for bringing me here and told him how much I’ve loved North Carolina these last 9 months.
Moving away from all your family and friends can be quite scary, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks for reading.
