celebrating my nephew, Wilson’s second birthday tomorrow
What a week, and welcome to Friday everyone. Fall is slowly starting to appear in Birmingham and I couldn’t be happier about it. My nephew Wilson is turning two this weekend so my parents and brother are coming up to stay with me and celebrate Wilson. I know people say that time flies but kids really do show you just how fast. It seems like every time I turn around he is saying or doing something new.
I loved this week because I unpacked from all the trips and just enjoyed finally being put at home. I kind of hope I don’t take any more trips until 2018 and just enjoy being in one place. Home is truly my favorite spot in the world. My own coffee, my own bed, my own Nilla and David haha. I’m ordering fall candles and making some changes to make this place really feel like a home. For a while there it really felt like we were living in someone else’s house. Has that ever happened to you if you’ve moved? Just the little quirks of the stove and the doors, etc. But I’m finally starting to feel like this IS actually our HOME. And it’s the best feeling ever…
What are you up to this weekend? Pumpkin patch going? Carving pumpkins? Hay rides? Whatever it is I hope it’s so much fun and thank you so much for reading!
