Welcome to the weekend! I’m so excited to just be laying low this weekend and staying in town. AND David is off! yessssssss. For fellowship his hours are a bit more defined – he’s actually been getting off at 5:00 pm regularly – say what!? And he gets TWO weekends off a month opposed to TWO DAYS off a month like Residency. He was actually sick this week which is the first time in 3 years of dating and 4 years of marriage that I’ve seen him sick. I would be lying if I said it has been painless so far – moving is hard for so many reasons. And with David working a new job, in a new place, with a new computer system, the stress level has been a bit high. But I’ve been SO THANKFUL that we are close to family. My mom actually helped me hang the curtains in my office yesterday and it was such a wonderful realization that we were home. I’ve hung curtains by myself everywhere we have lived so far – Jackson, MS, the Carrboro Cottage, and the Davie Circle House… so her being there to help, while David was working hard at the hospital, was pretty amazing and not something I take for granted.
One of my best friend’s from highschool is actually in town today so he’s helping me put the finishing touches on our kitchen table, hang the string lights outside, and might even be my photographer this afternoon! haha I’ll be sure to put that on Instastories if it happens.
I hope you have a beautiful weekend and thank you SO MUCH for reading this blog!
