Welcome to the weekend! Hope you enjoyed the short week! These last two weeks have flown by while we were packing up in North Carolina and moving to Birmingham. So some of these pics are from the last TWO weeks rather than the standard weekly recap.
We closed on our first home on Monday and y’all, it feels so good! I also never knew how challenging it was to close on a home. By the end I felt like the bank was asking us questions like “well why did you visit your grandmother the second week in August 2002? And what was the purpose of that trip?” haha This house is a bit smaller than our Davie Circle house so I’m interested to see if everything from the pod fits! We’ve been staying with my sister all week while we make a few minor adjustments to the house – like knocking out a wall and removing a plastered/ popcorn ceiling. I was SO GLAD to discover that one of my neighbors does home renovations! Like, WHAT!? Please and thank you! It saved me so much time not having to look for someone and his team has been a dream. I can’t wait to show y’all the finished product and give a home tour!
In the mean time I’m loving hanging with my sis when David has been working SO HARD already and am REALLY enjoying the fact that I’m reunited with a TCBY. If that place ever closes I don’t know what I’ll do!
