I couldn’t believe that I chose the DAY UNC won the National Championship game to head to Birmingham for our home inspection. It was probably the only time in my life I’ve been by myself and turned on a sporting event. David and I were on the phone during the final seconds both listening/watching and it was fun to hear his account of our street’s reactions. Come to think of it maybe it’s better I didn’t go or I would have been partying with the college kids. haha Last year everyone watched the game at our house since all of the restaurants and bars were packed, and it was a disappointing loss. So I was glad they captured the “W” this time around. (Sorry for ending the sentence with a preposition, Ama).
It was so fun getting to spend a few days at my sisters house this week. She helped me with my taxes and accompanied me to sushi. Since both of our husbands aren’t sushi fans I’m planning on making that a weekly sister date.
After a long day of searching yesterday it was so fun to go out with some friends for dinner followed by a very swanky speakeasy. It reminded me that even though the home search has been a challenge, there are so many new and fun restaurants and places to try! And I am so grateful to know ANYONE in a new place. Thank goodness I joined the Junior League in Chapel Hill because that’s how I met Gigi and Amy!
This morning I’m meeting the home inspector in an hour for a potential house in Birmingham and then heading back to Chapel Hill to be reunited with Nilla and DT. It’s supposed to be a beautiful weekend and I can’t wait to spend it with those two. Hope you have something fun planned and thank you so much for reading this blog!
