Welcome to Friday and what a wonderful welcome it is. I’m already looking forward to a friends Birthday party tomorrow and relaxing back at home after being gone for 5 days. Charlotte was amazing, and Birmingham was fun, but there’s nothing like being back snuggled on your couch with your dog with your remote. haha Does that make me sound lazy? Probably. I used to “up and go” way more often. Fun fact – I actually worked at a law firm one summer in the Virgin Islands, which seems a little out of character now. These days I’m such a homebody. Although, I think maybe that means that I’ve actually created a space that I enjoy being in, and I think that’s something to be proud of. I love being in a clean house, with the doors open, a candle burning, and some music on. Add a glass of red wine and I’m like “who wants to go anywhere?!.. the party is here!” haha
The house hunt is still on and I’m thinking there’s another trip to Birmingham in my 10 day future. I’m having commitment issues of signing the dotted line. But ya know, it’s 3 years. I don’t want to move again during them. I would prefer to stay put for three years until David finishes his fellowship. Ahhh well… hopefully I’ll be able to create a space to call home no matter where we land. I’ve learned that it doesn’t happen on it’s own though, and definitely takes time. One thing every house has in common is that David and Nilla will both live there too, so I guess there’s really no wrong choice.
What are your plans for this weekend? Hopefully I’ll finally go see Beauty and the Beast! My fellow Belles at Disney would be ashamed haha.
Have a beautiful weekend, y’all and thanks so much for reading.
