Happy Friday y’all! I thought this was a perfect post to share right before Thanksgiving! David always complains that Thanksgiving doesn’t get it’s time in the spotlight. And while I do have Christmas music on right now, I’m pausing to focus on the upcoming holiday of Thanksgiving!
I did a fall front porch last year so I wanted to keep the tradition alive this year at our new house. I absolutely love how the purple and orange mums paired with the crazy pumpkins. Every time I left the house I loved walking by this fall front porch and feeling all the fall vibes. Speaking of traditions…
What are y’all’s family holiday traditions? For Thanksgiving, my family’s tradition is to meet at our farm – it’s a house that’s been in my family since 1839 in Pickens MS. My grandfather was born in the house and, growing up, we would always meet there for Thanksgivings, Christmases, and random Sundays in-between. Since SEC football is king in the south, we would always stuff ourselves with all the fixings, then lounge and watch Mississippi State and Ole Miss play in the Egg Bowl. After lounging in the den, the lounge session continues on the front porch in the hammock, the rocking chairs, and the swing. It’s such a simple tradition, but going to the farm and seeing my nine cousins and all my aunts and uncles is one of my favorite memories in the world. And we are still making them! I’m actually heading to the farm this Sunday for Ama’s (my grandmother’s) 87th birthday!
I am obsessed with these vests from Talbots. The fur trim is so soft and I know I’ll be wearing these all holiday season long. Talbots is celebrating the holiday season by sharing their favorite holiday traditions and memories. I love hearing other people’s traditions, especially as David and I are making our own, so I would love to hear YOURS! You can win a curated Talbots holiday box AND potentially be featured on Talbots.com by following @talbotsofficial and posting a photo using #sharethemoments. (Be sure to tag @talbotsofficial in the caption so they’ll see it!) Or you can submit by visiting www.talbots.com/sharethemoments! That’s it! I would seriously love to hear y’all’s traditions 🙂
Have a great weekend and thank you so much for reading!
