The Charleston trip was so fun. Although I do miss friends and family back in Mississippi, it’s nice to live closer to Mollie and this fun city. I’m also excited to be closer to Washington DC and hope David and I can take a weekend trip there soon. I feel like moving – whether to a new city or even a new house, always has its ups and downs. Things break and scratch, and goodbyes are always hard, but I do think it’s important to just always focus on the positive. Like having wonderful friends nearby that can celebrate on the fourth. Here are some of the pictures from the trip!
Once I arrived we took a walk from Mollie’s new apartment down to the Battery with Calhoun

cal the dal – I couldn’t believe how big he’s gotten from last time
It’s so neat how her apartment is on the 2nd and 3rd floor. It reminded me of the Swiss family robinson house. Looking out of the window you see the tops of the crape myrtles.

Marie used to climb trees but now she prefers the window sill. Now that’t one smart cat!
to celebrate the fourth we went to the beach all day
and watched fireworks by the water. This picture reminded me of the South Carolina flag

Saturday we walked to the Mills House hotel and had lunch in the courtyard

I can’t believe the summer we worked together at Disney World was 7 years ago! Thanks for a wonderful fourth of July, Molls! I hope everyone had a memorable holiday and is easing back into the week. Thanks for reading!
