Last weekend David and I visited Charlottesville, Virginia. This is one of the prettiest places I’ve ever been and think Ireland must look similar – though I’ve never been. It’s so green with rolling hills and horses and wineries placed throughout. It is really like something from a dream, and I can’t believe it’s only 3 hours from us!
We had the BEST hosts – Martha and Eric. Eric and David became best friends in med school and I secretly wish they had matched at the same place. They took us to the best restaurants and wineries and we had so much fun hanging out and catching up.
If you ever find yourself in Charlottesville…my favorite wineries are: King’s Family Winery and Pippin Hill – seriously stunning views. My favorite restaurants were Root for lunch – aka best salads ever! Oakhart Social was amazing with such unique food – I even liked their carrots and I don’t like carrots. The last night we ate at Tavola which was some of the best pasta evaaaaaa – here are some pics from the weekend….

I LOVE Charlottesville–I lived there for a few years after college while I worked at Monticello (best commute ever). Pippin and King Family are some of my favorite wineries for views as well.
