Today is October, 1st! Welcome, to my favorite month, full of fall, David’s birthday, and one of my favorite holidays – Halloween. I’m a believer and fan of the Fitzgerald quote “life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” When it felt like fall this weekend, with the possibility of the cooler weather actually staying, I wanted to mark the occasion and make it feel even more like fall. So we made caramel popcorn (by using half of this recipe) before a movie outing. When I think of caramel popcorn I think of the huge tin cans that hold three different types of popcorn – butter, cheese, and caramel, all separated evenly by the white cardboard like divider… genius! It seems like those were always around during the fall and holiday months and I loved every single flavor. This recipe turned out sweet and delicious and was even better sprinkled with salt and paired with ginger ale.
Happy first day of October, and happy fall y’all!
