One of the best parts about moving and buying our first home so far has been discovering all the different plants we have in our yard. We moved in this summer so we’ve gotten to see fall, winter, and now are front row for spring. If you follow on Instastories y’all know how excited I was about my Japanese Maple in the backyard. The bright pink blossoms took my breath away every time I looked outside. The cherry blossoms in front have the prettiest pink petals as well that now scatter all over our yard. I like to think it’s mother nature’s confetti. haha
This weekend was one for the books. The weather was a perfect 80 degrees so David and I went to Ponysaurus with friends on Saturday. There were just as many dogs there as people – aka my dream world. Plus amazing beer, a pretty sunset, and twinkle lights. We ate Nana Taco on the way home and finished watching “the night of.” It was SO good!
Sunday we went to church, then I went to the Country Club to take some photos for Home Roam (my junior league committee). It’s an event we do every year and it’s coming up in April! After that we went home and took a nap on a blanket in the front yard because the weather was seriously THAT perfect. We ended the weekend with Sunday night Mexican followed by hanging out at a friends house. So all in all, great weather and great friends. Thank you, mother nature, for the most perfect weather that allowed me to get some vitamin D!
I’ve been wearing this shirt on repeat and I seriously think pink shoes make the day better. I also apologize in advance for how often I’ll be wearing these J.Brand shorts this spring/summer. They are SO comfortable and my favorite pair to throw on. David and I snapped these when we were on our way to Sunday night Mexican. When we were newlyweds, there was a Mexican restaurant close to our apartment and we would eat there every Sunday night. I love that years later, it’s a tradition that’s continued.
How was your weekend? Hope it was a great one filled with friends. I’m off to get some coffee… cup number 2…
