Good morning! I’d been seeing metallic skirts (like this expensive one and this cheaper one) around the blogosphere lately so I decided to give it a try – they are so fun! I love how comfortable they are since they are loose and flowy – perfect for the hotter months. This black tank top is one of my staple pieces in my closet. I wear it ALL the time and have had it for 3 years – crazy! I wore it a ton with a blazer over it when I was working in an office setting and it’s definitely withstood the test of time. It’s a little pricey but it’s proven it’s worth. I’ve linked a few similar metallic skirts below and this one is the one I’m wearing here. Another perk of these skirts is that they don’t wrinkle when you travel which I think is somehow the best magic trick ever.
I’m so excited about today because I’m in Birmingham for our home inspection! We put in an offer on a house (gasp!) and they accepted it. I’m nervous about this whole process just because David and I have only been renters. I’m not sure if I’m nervous for “fear of the unknown” or nervous as in “this could potentially be the worst financial decision I’ve ever made.” We have kind of narrowed it down to the house and a loft which is also gorgeous (and available for rent). All key words. haha. I’ll try to show both on Instastories today so you can tell me your vote.
One thing’s for sure: there is no perfect house (ok maybe SOME… but they are located ocean front in California or in Nantucket) so I’m just going to try to do the best with whatever shelter we end up with. Thanks so much for reading this blog, it means so much!
