“Sleeveless sweaters are a contradiction…” or so my father said when my sister wore one in 8th grade.
I could see my dad’s point, but I could also see how cute my sister looked in one. Here we are years later and clearly I sided with my sister. This pink sleeveless sweater was knitted and given to me by my mother, so I guess we know where she stands on the issue as well.
Sleeveless sweaters might be a contradiction, but they are also extremely comfortable, soft, and more structured than just a basic cotton tank. Knits are some of my favorite items because of their material. They last so much longer than a cotton shirt and never go out of style, so they are sure to be lasting pieces in the closet.
My favorite knit sweater is from J. crew back in 2007 and it’s still one of my most worn pieces. So, sorry dad! Long live knits.. and sleeveless sweaters.
