I have no idea how to dress for the summer. I am so comfortable in layers and thick jackets and scarves that there is a part of me that dreads the summer. While it’s not too hot yet I wanted to get in one last wear of this leather jacket. My sister gave it to me as a Christmas gift the first year she was married, and couldn’t be home for Christmas from New York. I love it’s smooth look and butter soft texture, and thinking of her everytime I wear it. I paired it with shorts to ease the look into spring and still be prepared for chilly nights.
I think I have learned just as much doing wedding planning as I have my entire 3 years of law school. Mainly, that it is a lot of work to make an event special and complete. But through this process I’ve also never been more thankful for every friend and family member who has been there and helped to make this time so special. I am so grateful.
My grandmother, Ama, always prints her pictures and encourages us to do the same because “what if the computer crashes.” I have tried to tell her that the Internet lets you access the pictures from anywhere, anytime – both a blessing and a curse. Here’s to hoping these will be safe in cyber space forever – since they are just a few of my favorites from this month.

special touches – a Mississippi guest book that I’ll have forever
beautiful weather and a beautiful lake (I was obsessed with my j. crew earrings I found here)
