The best jewelry to me always has been meaningful jewelry. Jewelry given (or bought for yourself) to mark an occasion means so much. Other than my engagement and wedding ring, the next most meaningful piece of jewelry to me is my pearl necklace David gave me on our wedding day. He gave it to me with the sweetest note the morning I walked down the isle and I ended up wearing it as my “something new” for our wedding day.
We recently celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary and walked to our favorite restaurant, Giannmarcos, after David got off work. Seriously if you are ever in Birmingham you have to eat there – SUCH amazing Italian food. Anyway, on our walk there David handed me my gift in a little blue bag. I’ve always wanted something from Tiffany’s and seeing the signature blue color made my heart skip a beat. Inside was this Tiffany’s necklace with 3 little bows. We talked about the last five years – how we’ve moved 3 times, been 14 hours away from home, and through it all we have had each other, and Nilla! The three bows represent our little trio and the past 5 years we’ve all grown together. I know I’ll have this Tiffany’s necklace for the next 50 years and remember the spring night David gave it to me 🙂
David got the Tiffany’s necklace on sale from Ebay and actually ALWAYS uses Ebay for jewelry he gives me. Over 80% of the items on Ebay are new and available with the “buy it now” option. Plus, shipping is usually free and the item arrives within 3 days with a money back guarantee. Whenever there’s a birthday or special occasion that I don’t know what to ask for, I always tell David to look at Ebay for jewelry. This was the 5th piece of jewelry he’s given me from Ebay and every piece marks a different occasion or milestone in our lives. If you have any special occasions coming up or have always wanted a piece of Tiffany’s jewelry definitely check out Ebay first!
I love this necklace and am linking some of my other Tiffany & Co. favorites that are also 40% off below:
