the most fabulous fall flats a girl could ask for – pom poms!
the weekly David and Nilla cuddle pic “Dad it’s too early.. I want pumpkin spiced coffee too”
Speaking of coffee, I recently started adding ground cinnamon to the grounds every morning and y’all… it’s a game changer. It takes my coffee to the next lev and I’m never going back.
Fall is in the air and the temps are steadily dropping. Nothing says fall more than candy corn in candy bowls. I can never keep candy around the house because the will power to refrain is just not there. But candy corn is a “love it or hate it” item and thankfully, I hate it. So I’ll be able to have them in every room all October and let David have them all.
He and I are about to embark on a week long journey around the USA. Not really, but we are going to take a major week long road trip (with Nilla of course) to a few different cities all next week. He is doing some interviews and we’re working in some family time in Birmingham while we’re at it!
It’s been the rainiest week here in Chapel Hill. Even as I’m typing this it’s pouring. I don’t mind it at all though. It’s the best excuse to curl up with my favorite throw and watch some good TV. I recently attempted to watch American Horror story thinking “oh this will be perfect, it’s almost October and this can be my ‘spooky’ show.” I got so scared watching it last night that I actually locked the bedroom door when I went to bed. In my defense David is on nights so it was just me and Nilla. Goodness knows she’s not going to defend me from anybody or anything… bless her heart. She’s a lover not a fighter.
Thank y’all so much for reading and welcome to the weekend! It’s going to be a great one!
