It’s funny how moving 2 miles can change your entire world. Already we have different “go-to” places, a different grocery store, and a new favorite coffee shop. David showed me some pretty walking trails in the forrest behind our house and the cool new coffee shop this weekend after he completely explored around our new house. I won’t hesitate to travel to far off places or jump on a plane to anywhere, but when it comes to my day-to-day it’s easy to just drive the same route, go to the same restaurants, and get stuck in a routine. I need to remember that variety is the spice of life and try harder to explore my surroundings of where I LIVE.
Ok on to these clothes – I’m 5’8″ and it’s so hard to find maxi skirts or dresses that are long enough for me. This one feels like a seamstress came to my den and took my measurements then got to sewing. I LOVE the high-waisted element and the fabric is a very soft jersey – translation: it’s real comfortable. This hat is my favorite summer hat I’ve ever owned. I like that the band is thicker than most around the top and love the subtle contrast of lighter straw with the gray band. It’s also a bit wider than most fedoras which is “a.o.k.” in my book.
Have a wonderful start to your week and thank you so much for reading 🙂
