becoming homeowners ourselves!
Pink champagne, y’all because we bought a house – say what!? Are we old enough for that? Actually I feel plenty old to be doing that and probably 5 years behind. I will say, that’s one weird thing about the whole residency thing. Most of my friends are homeowners / parents / real vacationers and I feel like we are kind of, well, more on par with the college kid neighbors across the street. But I’m fine with it… Oh on THAT note, one of the kids spilled the beans and told me the other day that that house ACTUALLY IS a frat house. I about died. So yes, I am living across the street from a bonafide, real life, frat house. What up.
We close on our new house, which is in a bonafide neighborhood (cue the “movin’ on up” song) on July 3rd. Which is just enough time to squeeze in an awkward two week period of being homeless… but I’ll figure that out later. If I’m going to live across the street from a frat house and basically be in college, I might as well procrastinate…
Speaking of homes and champagne, the Junior League Home Roam event is coming up and I would LOVE for anyone and everyone to come to the Cocktail party and actual event. You get to walk through pretty homes and all the money raised goes to charity 🙂
What are your plans for Easter? Did you dye Eggs? That was always such a fun childhood activity. I feel like I’m doing the adult version with those pretty watercolor hello there cards. My friend Laurel creates those and I am so in awe! She’s giving you 20% off from her Etsy shop through the end of May with code LCSxTLB. This Sunday David is working so I’m heading to church and brunch with a friend. I hope you have a wonderful weekend spent with family and Happy Easter!
Luke 24: 1-6
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5 In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6 He is not here; he has risen!
