David and I are back home from our week long road trip and it was so much fun! Don’t get me wrong, we had our fair share of fights over the radio – I stand by you, Chainsmokers, “closer” is still amazing! haha But it was a gorgeous road trip especially through the rolling hills of Virginia with all the leaves changing. Hey, fall. I loved packing all of my favorite new fall pieces, especially this off the shoulder floral number. It has all the fall colors and is so comfortable.
David was in charge of the navigation and directions and I was put in charge of our hotel stays. When I saw that Louisville, KY had a 21C, I knew we HAD to stay there. I first discovered this hotel when we moved to North Carolina and it’s my favorite place to go for a date night or to take guests when they are in town. It’s a hotel and an art museum all rolled into one, and it never disappoints. There are so many amazing decor details, the PINK PENGUINS on the roof, the PINK WALL that was in our room, and the BLACK LIGHT in the bathroom! Did y’all see that on snap? (LC_Steele). My favorite details were the mint julep cups in the room – such a unique “Kentucky-esq” welcome and my favorite art in the hotel was a frame full of iridescent lights that changed colors.
My sister had a poster in her room when we were growing up that read: “In a world full of copycats, be an original” and I can’t help but think that 21C hotels took that message to heart. They are standing out in the best way. I am obsessed with their unique vibe that is a celebration of life. Here are some pics from our stay and from Louisville, KY!
Thank you so much for reading and bring on the coffee for Monday!
